📘 Overview
The BSc (Honours) in Agricultural Technology & Management is a four-year degree offered by the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Peradeniya — the oldest and largest agriculture faculty in Sri Lanka. It deliberately moves beyond traditional farming, blending crop and animal science with engineering, agribusiness and management so that graduates can run modern, technology-driven agricultural enterprises. It suits A/L Biological Science students who want a science degree with strong real-world application and clear pathways into both the public and private sectors.
It earns a Future-Proof Score of 7.5 because food production is a permanent, automation-resistant need, and the degree's technology-and-management focus opens broad careers across agribusiness, agri-tech and finance — though many entry roles in Sri Lanka still pay modestly compared with pure tech or healthcare fields.
