📘 Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a full professional medical degree in Ayurveda and indigenous medicine, leading to registration as an Ayurvedic physician. It combines classical Ayurvedic science with the basics of modern (allopathic) medicine and extensive clinical training. With strong cultural acceptance, government Ayurveda hospitals and a growing wellness-tourism and herbal-products industry, it offers a clear professional path for students committed to holistic healthcare.
It earns a strong future-proof score because it is a licensed, clinically grounded profession with steady demand and a growing wellness sector — though its scope and earning ceiling are narrower than allopathic medicine.
📚 What You'll Study
The curriculum blends classical Ayurveda with modern medical foundations and hospital-based clinical training:

- Roga Nidana — diagnosis and pathology
- Kayachikitsa (internal medicine), Shalya (surgery) and Shalakya (ENT & eye)
- Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga (obstetrics & gynaecology) and Bala Roga (paediatrics)
