Yoga and Parapsychology in Sri Lanka: Careers, Curriculum & Future Outlook

📘 Overview

Yoga and Parapsychology is a distinctive degree that blends the science and practice of yoga with the study of the mind and consciousness. Offered by the Gampaha Wickramarachchi institute under the University of Kelaniya, it sits at the meeting point of wellbeing, holistic health and mind-body science. It suits calm, people-focused students drawn to wellness, meditation and personal development who want a career helping others find balance and health.

It earns a future-proof score of 6.5 because the global wellness, yoga and mindfulness industries are growing strongly — including wellness tourism, where Sri Lanka has an edge — and this hands-on, human-centred field resists automation, even though the formal job market is still developing.
