It turns the science and design of engineering into practical, industry-ready skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical and manufacturing technology. It suits students who learned through the Engineering Technology and Science for Technology subjects and want a career building, maintaining and improving real technical systems.

It earns a future-proof score of 7.0 because technologists are increasingly in demand across industry with solid, broad career options, even though the technologist tier is a newer and still-maturing pathway in Sri Lanka's job market.
