📘 Overview
Physical Science is the flexible, foundational science degree built around mathematics, physics and chemistry — and, at many universities, computer science and statistics. Offered across eight Sri Lankan universities, it is one of the largest science intakes and keeps a wide range of doors open. It suits strong, numerate students who enjoy maths and science and want a versatile degree that can lead into IT, data, research, teaching or further study.
It earns a future-proof score of 7.5 because its quantitative foundation feeds high-demand fields like software, data and analytics, and the choices you make — especially adding computer science and statistics — can turn it into a very employable, automation-resilient path.
